MrShy talks us in with the usual acknowledgments and introduces Renfield and also our new co-host, who will henceforth be known as Christlebrand, or just ♦Brand for short.
♦Brand talks about who he is, and why he is joining us and completing our happy trinity.
Our Week in Magic:
♦Brand has been doing a bit of teaching Magic. He also downloaded MTGO- more on that later.
Renfield has been not doing much Magic wise besides the bit of brewing to try to get the modern land hate deck list done.
Shy has been at the London Magic Madhouse Pro Series and was on Commentary.
Shy’s beautiful deck:
Renfield thought he was being funny when he issued Shy the Challenge, to make a deck using only two artists (not including basic land)
This was Mr Shy’s effort:
Renfield talks about clerics.
Ren’s Modern Brew:
Renfield was challenged, to brew around his land destruction deck and talks about that .
Jumping on the ♦Brand-wagon:
♦Brand has also been looking at some modern decks and how they can fit into the legacy metagame.
Modern Death and Taxes: http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=97142
Legacy Death and Taxes: http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=98928
Vintage White Trash: http://www.archive.themanadrain.com/index.php?topic=47916.0
♦Brand is too embarrassed to show his decklist from the daily event. It was bad.
This is where ♦Brand gives Shy and Renfield a run for their money in a challenge that is both format specific and on a budget.
Closing notes and Acknowledgments:
Renfield, Shy and ♦Brand will be at the Magic Madhouse Pro Series event in Birmingham on the 19th March for Anything Does Standard on the road.
