Kranny and Jack are back in the saddle to bring you an exclusive Commander 2015 preview card, Grasp of Fate!
The obvious parallel with Grasp of Fate is Banishing Light (or Oblivion Ring for the slightly older school player,) exchanging a colorless mana symbol for a White with the added bonus of extra multiplayer goodness. While Cube enthusiasts think of Cube primarily as a 1v1 format, Kranny and Jack expound the virtues of Cube as a multiplayer format citing Two-Headed Giant as a fan favorite. They talk about some of their preferred themes and cards to play in multiplayer formats, and what makes them better in a multiplayer setting versus 1v1.
Since Grasp of Fate is similar to a number of cards already printed, the guys take a mailbag question from inatube for how many/what types of effects to run in a cube. Do you run Farseek and Rampant Growth as your green ramp, or do you consider Nature’s Lore over Rampant Growth if you decide to include BFZ lands? Kranny and Jack go over the different angles to look at when presented with the option to run multiple types of an effect.
As always thank you for the support, follows, and topics about what you guys want to see!
