MTGCast Super Fundraiser Deluxe Giveaway Alpha Super Edition

Don’t look at me, I didn’t name it!  Hey there MTGCast listeners, Chewie here with the full list of goodies that have been offered up for prizes for this excellent donation drive giveaway!  This whole thing comes courtesy of Christopher Allpress (@magician12) and his local gaming store Campus Cards and Games in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  The way it works is simple; it’s essentially a raffle.  Tickets are $5.  How do you buy in?  Just click the Donate button over there on the right!  That’s all!  Every $5 you give us will be one entry into the giveaway.  Simple huh?  At the moment, this giveaway is running until the end of July.  In case you’re wondering, this money is going to the (not insignificant) costs that are required to keep running this massive network of podcasts.  That bandwidth ain’t free ya know!

So we’re doing a giveaway.  I suppose now you wanna know what’s being given away, huh?  Well, the initial list of stuff from Chris and Campus Cards and Games in Bowling Green, Kentucky is right here:

Elspeth, Knight Errant (foil Elspeth vs. Tezzeret version)
Force of Will
Dark Confidant
4x Wurmcoil Engine
Noble Hierarch
Jace the Mind Sculptor
Cavern of Souls
4x Isolated Chapel
Thrun, the Last Troll
Entreat the Angels
Huntmaster of the Fells

As if that wasn’t enough, Jeremey Schofield (@J_Schofield) threw in the three Wolfir Silverhearts he drafted at GP Vancouver, and I threw in one of my own to complete the set.  Then Jonathan Richmond (@norbert88) threw in TWO copies of the Japanese Duel Decks: Jace vs. Chandra.  You know, the ones with the anime-style planeswalkers.  Then I decided I should throw something in, and I just happened to have a set of Narcomoebas just hanging out as well as a Coldsnap Marit Lage token (shiny!).  Not to be outdone, one of our listeners, Rich McCann (@LawM4ge) added in a set of Darksteel Plates AND a set of Grim Lavamancers! Then Jack (@JackLaCroix, duh) wanted to get into the act, so he has added in a Galvanic Blast alter by Pet Snake.  I have no picture at the moment, only that it has the Advice Dog on it.  Then Jeremy Froggatt (@Jerfroggatt) donated one of his early (and badassed!) alters, a Borderland Ranger.  If you wanna see it, it’s the image that accompanies this post.  Pretty cool huh?  Then after we recorded the latest episode of Monday Night Magic, Cluze (or Dr. Science, or Aaron Lacluyze) (@lacluyze), fresh from his judging stint at GP Columbus, informed me that he had an extra Judge foil Command Tower that he wanted to donate to the cause!  Holy crap those are NOT cheap.  How he could possibly have an extra one is beyond me, honestly.  And then (hell yeah, I’m still going), listener Dave Conrad emailed me to let me know that he had 3 packs each of Korean Innistrad and Korean M12 that he was willing to send in, as well as a Rise of the Eldrazi Leveler’s Glory Intro Pack (the one with Student of Warfare) and a Magic 2010 We Are Legion Intro Pack (the one with Lightwielder Paladin)!  Then we had Chris Lansdell (@lansdellicious) on MNM donated a Horde of Notions playmat!  You can see it here:

For anyone not interested in reading this entire nonsense, here’s the TL;DR version:

We’re not trying to get to a Magic tournament.  We’re not trying to get money to start up some new project.  We’re not even trying to rip you off so we can buy solid gold deck boxes and diamond D20s.  We’re just trying to keep the MTGCast Network, that you all know and love, running so that you can always have a gozillion Magic podcasts to choose from.  So if you wanna keep listening to Limited Resources, Monday Night Magic, Horde of Notions, Five Minutes of Magic, and all the other shows, feel free to give us some money.  Hey, maybe you’ll win one of these completely awesome prizes!  But whether you do or not, you’ll have helped us keep the network running that much longer.  Thanks a lot, and good luck!

UPDATE:  Since it took me so long to get this post written in the first place, I’ve decided to extend the deadline for entry!  Get your donation in before Monday August 6 and you’ll still have a shot!
